How to use SLEEP DROPS:

General directions for use - Remember our naturopath is available to discuss your individual needs on 07 574 9480 during office hours. And if you are not sleeping within one week of starting the programme you must call us for support.

 

Phase one:

For 5 nights take 5 to 10 drops under tongue 1/2 hourly starting 2 hours before bed. If you wake in the night take one dose and repeat 1/2 hourly if necessary.

Phase two:

From the 6th night on going - Take 5 to 10 drops under tongue 1/2 hour before bed & once more immediately before retiring. If you wake in the night take one dose & repeat 1/2 hourly if necessary

 

Note: if you are a slight build or you are sensitive to medication take only 5 drops per dose.

A few ways to improve your sleep for FREE starting TONIGHT!

 

1) Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, and cool. Noise, light, and heat can interfere with sleep. Open a window to keep the room cool, and blackout curtains or an eye mask to block out light.

 

2) Stick to a regular sleep schedule. Support your biological clock by going to bed and getting up at the same time every day, including weekends. Get up at your usual time in the morning even if you're tired. This will help you get back in a regular sleep rhythm.

 

3) Avoid naps. Napping during the day can make it more difficult to sleep at night. If you feel like you have to take a nap, limit it to 30 minutes before 3 p.m.

 

4) Avoid stimulating activity and stressful situations before bedtime. This includes vigorous exercise; big discussions or arguments; and TV, computer, or video game use. Turn off all electronics at least an hour before bed.

 

5) Limit caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Stop drinking caffeinated beverages at least 8 hours before bed. Avoid drinking in the evening. While alcohol can make you feel sleepy, it interferes with the quality of your sleep. Quit smoking or avoid it at night, as nicotine is a stimulant.

 

6) Make sure you're tired - Do some exercise during the day, but never close to bedtime or your heart rate will go up and your adrenaline will still be pumping when you get into bed.

 

7) Naturally relaxing foods/Tryptophan containing foods. Turkey, Bananas, milk are natural tranquilisers because they contain Tryptophan which is a "feel good" neurotransmitter that has a role in the sleep cycle. Consuming these foods is helpful for some people. Please be aware of the high incidence of dairy allergy. If this is you avoid the milk option.

 

8) Avoid grain- and sugar-based snacks before bed - they raise blood-sugar levels, which hinders sleep.

 

9) Avoid Illuminated Bedroom Clocks - Try to keep your bedroom as dark as possible. An illuminated bedroom clock is a source of light that can be extremely annoying if you're having a hard time getting to sleep. If you can't replace the clock, at least block its light with something.
